Shortly after the successful introduction of the Nordica ski boots, the legendary ellesse ski pants with the knee and shin pad that match the new Nordica buckle boots made of synthetic material, were developed and sold together with the ski racer Erwin Stricker. The accompanying outerwear soon followed. For the summer, in the early 90s ellesse produced tennis clothing and was able to gain two Wimbledon winners, Boris Becker and Steffie Graf, to be testimonials. The joint sales success ended after 11 years due to a change in distribution channels.
