SHSelection accompanied the expansion of Sephora, a subsidiary of the LVMH Group Paris. Around the turn of the millennium, Sephora stores were built worldwide in the pattern of the flagship store at the Champs Elyse. The most prominent store was the store in the Rockefeller Center in NY with 3 floors and over 3,000 sq. ft. After a change in products and service, a new generation of stores was introduced to the market. Today, Sephora is the strongest global beauty brand.
Through the mediation of SHSelection, the Inditex Group entered the Otto Group with the Zara brand and held the Joint Venture for 10 years. The first store was opened in Cologne, followed by the second store with the head office in Hamburg. Today, the Inditex Group is represented by the brands Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka and Zara Home with over 100 stores and 5000 employees.
An assortment of around 60 products is available around the clock: Food and beverages, many from regional producers. Alcohol or tobacco products are not part of the range. Customers choose their product and pay before the goods are dispensed with cash, giro or Visa cards; Google Pay and Apple Pay are also accepted.
The retail group Ahold Delhaize has already been using the unmanned mini-market from Intel, Cloudpick and UST Global in the USA since the end of 2019. The convenience store, called "Lunchbox", is located on the company's premises and provides employees there with food, snacks, salads, fresh fruit and drinks.
